Terraces

 

Located behind the Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) Teaching Garden, these terraced plots are now available for rent by students, faculty, and staff for personal or other use. Before, it was just a hill with a TON of grass, but we hired a squad of Eco-Goats to eat it all away! 

 

When the land is not in use, we plant cover crops to reduce erosion and improve the quality of soil. Then, when it's ready to be used, we simply incorporate the crop into the soil and voila! Natural fertilizer!
